What this site is

The Halal Hit List publishes independent, editorial reviews and verdicts on halal restaurants in Toronto and the GTA. Verdicts are opinions based on real visits, paid for by us. Verdicts cannot be bought, and restaurants cannot pay to be listed or removed.

Halal status

We verify halal status in person to the best of our ability — asking about certification, suppliers, and kitchen practices — and we describe what we found using the taxonomy explained in our methodology. Restaurants can change suppliers, menus, or ownership at any time. Halal status shown on this site is our good-faith record at the time of our visit, not a certification. If halal status is critical to you, confirm directly with the restaurant.

Accuracy of information

Hours, phone numbers, ratings, and photos are drawn from the Google Places API and may lag reality. Always check before travelling.

Using our content

You're welcome to share and quote our reviews and verdicts with a link back to halalhitlist.com. Don't republish substantial portions of the site, scrape it for a competing directory, or imply that we endorse your product or restaurant.
