# Zaitoun A hidden gem that genuinely surprised me. Zaitoun is listed as Afghan food but the menu goes way beyond that — they have incredible chicken strips, really good burgers, steak sandwiches, roasted chicken, and more. Everything I've tried here has been exceptional. ## What to Order The chicken strips are among the best I've ever had — and I'm not even talking about flavoured or sauced strips, just the chicken itself is incredible. The chicken tenders and the burger are both fantastic. Don't go just for the Afghan food — explore the whole menu. ## Must Try The chicken strips. Genuinely one of the top chicken strip experiences I've had anywhere, halal or not. The chicken itself has incredible flavour without any special sauce. ## The Verdict One of the most underrated halal spots in Toronto. Zaitoun does a lot of things really well and none of it gets the attention it deserves. If you haven't discovered this place yet, consider this your sign. The chicken strips alone are worth the trip.
