Don't let the name fool you — this is the best fully halal Jamaican restaurant in the city. The jerk chicken is cooked in traditional barrel drums, which is exactly how it should be. Everything on the menu is completely halal, and it's owned by a Jamaican revert who brings the full authenticity.

The jerk chicken — full stop. Everything else on the menu is solid too, but the jerk chicken is the reason you're here. Come hungry and be prepared to wait a little — it's worth it.

The Verdict

An absolute gem. Fully halal Jamaican food at this level of authenticity is genuinely rare, and Patty Cake delivers. The value is amazing, the specials are good, and the jerk chicken is as authentic as it gets. The only downside is I wish they were open later. One of the most unique and special spots on the entire Hit List.
