# Honey Soul Food I had high hopes for Honey Soul Food but the visit was a bit disappointing. Soul food is a genre that's hard to find in the halal space, so the concept is exciting. The execution, though, didn't quite deliver on that promise on my visit. Might be worth another try. ## What to Order Go for the soul food staples — fried chicken, mac and cheese, that kind of thing. ## Must Try Give the fried chicken a go — that should be the heart of any soul food spot. ## The Verdict Underwhelming on my visit but I'm open to the possibility that I caught an off day. The concept is needed and appreciated. Hopefully they've continued to improve since my visit.
