This place is remarkable not just for the quality but for what it represents — a properly halal deli with real options like mortadella, Montreal smoked meat, and actual deli meats that you just can't find elsewhere in the halal space. They butcher everything themselves, so it's always fresh.

The Verdict
As someone who grew up not being able to eat deli food because it wasn't halal — East Meets West is genuinely one of the most exciting halal restaurants in the city. It's the best deli I've ever been to, halal or not. Deeply into Mississauga, and it closes earlier than I'd like, but every visit is worth the trip.
