The record
Harvey's uses conventionally slaughtered Canadian beef and poultry chain-wide — not zabihah — and holds no halal certification. Community checks are consistent on this: no Harvey's location appears on the HMA's certified list, and the chain makes no halal claims. There's also no meaningful history of certified franchises the way there is with KFC or Mary Brown's.
The workaround people reach for is the veggie burger and the vegetarian-gravy poutine. Those avoid the slaughter problem but come from a shared kitchen with shared fryers — fine under some personal standards, not others. Just know Harvey's itself claims nothing.
The better move
What people want from Harvey's — a made-to-order flame-grilled burger with proper toppings — exists all over the GTA from dedicated halal kitchens, usually better. The spots below are ones we've actually been to.
