Middle Eastern pastries & kunafa

Kunafa's — kunafa plus Dubai chocolate

Ice cream, gelato & freakshakes
Patty Cake and Ice Cream — homemade, and a Hit

An unusual combo — fully halal Jamaican jerk chicken and homemade ice cream under one roof — and the ice cream earns the Hit verdict. Closed Sundays.

D Spot Desserts — the freakshake destination
No. 56 · Solid · Toronto (York) · 4.7★

Order: a freakshake, split it, regret nothing.
Buns N Cones — milkshakes and scoops
No. 41 · Solid · Scarborough · 4.8★
Our highest Google rating in the dessert category (4.8): milkshakes and ice cream scoops, open to midnight on weekends.
Order: a loaded milkshake.
The honest take
The strongest halal dessert categories in the GTA right now are South Asian mithai and Middle Eastern kunafa — deep benches, high verdicts. Gelato and ice cream are more hit-or-miss (Royal Gelato Cafe in Pickering, No. 118, and MADO's Turkish ice cream downtown, No. 88, both landed at Decent). Chase the kunafa and the mithai first.
